New York City Ballet announced today that Andrew Litton has been named the Company's next Music Director. Litton, who currently serves as Music Director of both Norway's Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra and Denver's Colorado Symphony Orchestra, will become NYCB's Music Director Designate, effective immediately, and will begin his first season as the Company's Music Director next September for the start of NYCB's 2015-16 season. National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) Chairman Jane Chu announced today that RIOULT Dance NY is one of 919 nonprofit organizations nationwide to receive an NEA Art Works grant. Fittingly, ODETTA, which celebrates the legendary singer known as the "voice of the Civil Rights Movement." premiered on National Human Rights Day.
